"The Drawer Congregation": A Garabaggio Framed Print
Description
Oil on digital canvas, 2026. Post-Consumer Baroque series.
January 6th, 11:40 PM, the third drawer down in the kitchen of the apartment on Dunlevy Street, which had not held cutlery since October. By then I had been gathering for nine weeks. I did not decide to gather. I would find one at the base of a parking meter, or under the bench at the bus loop on Hale, and it would be impossible to leave it there, and it would go into my coat, and eventually into the drawer. When I pulled the drawer open that night there were thirteen. I counted them four separate times, and the count kept changing, because it depends entirely on how far into the back of the drawer you are willing to believe the light goes.
